Middle Ward
MARC REBER is a sitting Borough Councilman in the Middle Ward. He is the only middle ward Council candidate with proven leadership, especially on public safety. He led the effort to secure a new police cruiser and supported retention of the existing police force while working to reduce the budget in other ways.
His guidance on the finance committee has also inspired a new long-term outlook, saving taxpayer money while ensuring Borough services are minimally impacted.
In fact, his even-handed and experienced service has inspired public support from leaders in both the Democratic and Republican parties. Let’s keep him on Council.
West Ward
KEN BUCKWALTER has represented the interests of his West Ward constituents on Borough Council for the past four years. Working alongside the current council, he has helped put progress over politics to move our town in a direction in which we can all be proud. He asks for your vote on November 8th to continue this positive direction for Phoenixville.
As a 30-year resident of Phoenixville, husband, father and grandfather, he is deeply invested in our community. Like everyone else he cares about our taxes, borough services, home values, development, and infrastructure. As a result, he has consistently voted with the best interest of Phoenixville in mind, regardless of party-lines.
North Ward
CHRIS BAUERS has a number of goals he would like to address upon election to Borough Council representing the North Ward. He acknowledges the recession has impacted all Borough funding sources. He thus feels increasing economic value, safety, and quality of living in our Borough through commercial development presents a tremendous opportunity and benefit to residents, and will help Council fulfill its responsibility to advocate for this development. This will enhance job creation, open space, and diverse sources of revenue to fund future services, recreation and capital spending, benefiting all residents.
East Ward
BRADY APPLEMAN looks forward to representing the people of the East Ward. He believes to sustain the borough the population needs to be reinvigorated with younger people, and current development is successfully moving the Borough in that direction. Expanding the tax base rather than the tax rates is the key to future Borough services, and he promises to work towards this end.
Mr. Appleman grew up in Norristown, a town not unlike Phoenixville twenty years ago. When he compares the two towns today he feels Phoenixville should be proud, and he promises to continue working to promote development so we can continue this progress.
